Bernadette Hill holds diplomas from the Royal Academy of Dance in London, from which she also attained her teacher’s certificate with “Distinction” and from the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing.
Her twenty years international stage experience began at London’s famous Palladium Theatre, where she was selected to dance at the Royal Command Performance, before Her Majaesty, Queen Elizabeth II.
She has dance on London’s prime viewing TV shows and was selected to appear in Johnny Hallyday’s Paris spectacular and tour de France, which also launched the Jimi Hendrix experience. She was then contracted to appear in the show “Vive Les Girls” at the Dunes Hotel in Las Vegas and then went on to Madrid, Brussels and the Bahamas and then returning to Paris and The Moulin Rouge and traveling with the show to Rio de Janeiro.
Remaining in Rio for nine years, she opened her own school and simultaneously returned to stage and weekly tv shows as a principal dancer. Her school and eventual jazz company “Jazzmania” led to her successful career as a choreographer and artistic director for major Brazillian and French productions.
Returning to Europe, she was sought after as a teacher for Balletakademien Gothenburg University, Denmark for the Danish Society of Teachers of Dance and London’s famous Pineapple Centre.
Eventually making her way to California where she ran her own studio for twenty years. Her journey has brought her to Austin and with her comes a wealth of experience, credentials and accolades.
