Cat Quakenbush is a senior at Lake Travis High School. She enjoys musical theatre, choir, and dancing. She started dancing when she was 3. By fifth grade, she started choreographing her own dances for talent shows and plans to do it again this year for her senior year at LTHS.

Cat has always enjoyed dancing roles in production.  In middle school, she started performing dancing roles as Mary Poppins in her dance class’ performance of “Step in Time”, the Broadway version. She choreographed her own dance with the other lead actors and  assisted with the choreography for her theatre class’ performance of “All in This Together from High School Musical for for the same show.

When she was in 8th grade she was on the dance team and in high school she was part of the Red Rubies JV dance team. Freshman year she continued dancing in the talent show and choreographing. When she was in her sophomore year, she was part of the ensemble in LTHS’ production of The Wedding Singer. She continued theatre into her junior year and played ensemble and had a featured role as a dancer in LTHS’ Footloose. She then played the dancing role of Jolene in the senior directed musical Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.

Her current projects include teaching Ballet/Tap and Jazz/Tap on Saturday mornings at TexArts.  She is also excited for her high school graduation and is currently in the midst of college auditions for a major in musical theatre and a minor in dance.
