A new addition to TexARTS, her degrees include a Bachelors of Fine Arts and a Master’s Degree in Education. Kendra began teaching in the classroom in 1999 and throughout the years has had diverse roles when teaching art. They include: Head of Art Department and Instructor (Ecole Classique High School, Metairie, LA), Director of After School Arts Program (Trinity Episcopal School, New Orleans), Kindergarten Art Enrichment Teacher (All Saints Episcopal Day School, Austin), Middle School Art History and Mixed Media Teacher (St. George’s Episcopal School, New Orleans), Reggio Emilia Inspired Classroom Studio Teacher (Louise S. McGehee School, New Orleans), Early Childhood Art Teacher & Head of School Art Auction (Trinity Episcopal School, Little Rock, AR). In addition, she had the pleasure of teaching a TexARTS summer camp course called Bug Out!
Her artwork has been presented at galleries in New Orleans and was mentioned in St. Charles, a New Orleans area publication. Occasionally, she creates commissioned interior decorative paintings and can also do artwork repairs.
