Lindsay Palinsky is excited to be a member of the TexARTS faculty! She began her dance training at the age of 3 with MGM Dance and Ballet21 in Flint, MI, where she studied ballet and Irish tap. She has attended master classes and summer intensives presented by The Joffrey Ballet, Savion Glover, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and Dayton Ballet II. While she was studying Digital Rhetoric and Technical Writing at Michigan State University, she was a member of Orchesis, the university’s student dance organization. She taught youth ballet classes at MGM Dance for 3 years, and did private pointe and pre-pointe coaching for over 10 years. Her favorite thing to tell her students is, “when in doubt, point your toes and smile!”
In addition to over two decades spent in the world of dance, Lindsay has a long history in theatre arts. She choreographed and was a dance and fight captain for several plays and musicals in Michigan, including local productions of Fiddler on the Roof and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Lindsay specializes in Greek and Elizabethan theatre practices, and has directed All’s Well That Ends Well, The Winter’s Tale, and Lysistrata. She is Board President of The Baron’s Men – an early modern theatre troupe that performs in a scaled replica of Shakespeare’s Globe.
