TexARTS Emerging Professionals are a dedicated group of young artists looking to commit to a higher level of training and performance. These students might be considering studying the Arts at the collegiate level or pursuing a professional career. Students will work with industry professionals to hone their crafts, build their skills and confidence, and find their voices and identity as artists. Our Emerging Professional will serve as ambassadors for TexARTS in and around Lakeway and the greater Austin Community.
Once the audition is completed, the student may be offered a spot in the company. Students and families will further work with our faculty to construct a specific series of classes, masterclasses, and performance opportunities that will both challenge and excite.
The program is divided into two cohorts: The Junior Company (grades 5-8) and Senior Company (grades 9-12). Once admitted to the program, students will select a “Track” of focus: Musical Theatre, Acting, Vocal, Dance, or Technical Theatre.
Auditions happen by appointment on Friday and Saturday, August 18th and 19th, 2023. Please email Education Manager Cassie Eckerman at firstname.lastname@example.org for an appointment (former “T3” students will be granted automatic admission to the program but must still audition to determine class placement). There will be a Dance Call on Saturday, August 19th (time TBD) for students interested in the Musical Theatre and Dance tracks.
