Minden Ten Eyck
Kinder Art, Crafting & Collage, Sculpture, Painting
Minden Ten Eyck first honed her artistic skills and discovered her love of painting while creating presentation graphics for her design degree (landscape architecture) at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Since that time, she has pursued abstract painting, beginning with watercolor and paper and currently, using acrylic and canvas. She is inspired by the way abstract art allows her to convey herself instinctively and how it also expresses the seemingly incommunicable. She has also had a life-long love of photography. Her paintings and photography have been displayed in galleries in Denver and Austin and they are currently available for sale on-line.
Besides creating abstract paintings and photography, Minden enjoys making art with others. She believes every student has creative talent and likes encouraging positive self-expression in a safe environment. She has taught art classes at Jefferson Center for Mental Health (in Wheat Ridge, Colorado), Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, and currently teaches through TexArts and the Umlauf Sculpture Garden and Museum’s Shaping Space program.
